What does ETS offer to students?

Workshops & Academic Counseling

ETS keeps participants and their families informed on the most important pre-college topics, including:

• Preparing for the SAT and ACT

• Completing A-G course requirements for college

• Understanding the college systems

• Choosing a major

• Exploring careers

• Completing college applications

• Applying for financial aid and scholarships

Field Trips to Colleges

ETS offers students opportunities to visit colleges throughout California for free! Every year, students in our program can sign up for field trips in which we travel to various CSU and UC schools, private institutions, and community colleges. Joining us on these trips is a great way to find out which college will be the best fit for each student.

Networking

It’s not only what you know, but also who you know and in ETS you will meet tons of people who share similar challenges, goals, and dreams as you! Not only will you get to know students from three different middle schools and four high schools in your surrounding communities but meet other central California participants and alumnae who are ready to support you. You will also be part of the nation-wide TRIO family network with over 475 Talent Search programs in the U.S.!
