What is ETS?

Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally-funded pre-college program designed to support students in succeeding in junior high and high school and achieving their goals for pursuing higher education at a community college or university. It is a program of the Student Academic Services Department in the Student Affairs Division at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with an annual federal budget of $277,375.

ETS critically enhanced the schools I chose to apply to by going on various campus tours and taking advantage of the services offered.

This program serves local youth in grades six through twelve. In addition to counseling, participants receive information about college admission requirements, scholarships, college entrance exams, and more.
